Inks are used for aluminum pigments
Metal ink refers to the ink that is prepared with small metal sheets instead of pigments or dyes in traditional ink and has a unique metal shining effect. Often said metal ink mainly refers to aluminum ink and gold ink. Silver ink is made from aluminium pigment.
The binder of aluminum ink pigment is generally made of resin with very low acid value and amine value to avoid affecting the gloss of the ink. Ink with aluminum pigments can also be prepared solvent, the polarity of the solvent does not need to be too large, otherwise the pigment will be due to excessive wetting and easy to precipitate.
The main factors affecting the shining of aluminum ink pigments: the larger the size of the metal aluminum pigment particle size, the better the mirror reflection effect of aluminum pigment, and the high gloss. The smaller the particle size of metal aluminum pigment, the better the hiding power of ink aluminum pigment, but the gloss decreases. Customers can choose the appropriate particle size according to their needs, but the choice also depends on the printing method. Different printing methods need to use metal inks with different metal aluminum pigment particle sizes, otherwise the desired effect will not be achieved.
